Paul Devlin:
Courses make horses!
The evidence of this wisdom was witnessed over and over again all week. With my own eyes I saw dozens of horses and riders improving day by day. It is so refreshing to have an indoor show that succeeds in progressive development of horse and rider. There were absolutely no compromises that are typical when the season moves inside and smaller dimensions tend to back up the jumping horses. The arena is both wider and longer than Spruce Meadows’ indoor and the footing was flawless. Lighting was superb and the warm up ring has the added advantage of allowing you to watch a round or two from horseback while preparing your horse for your go. Hospitality was authentic, caring, and top class making one feel welcome and appreciated!
If the fact that the Pacific Equine Sport team pulled off their inaugural horse show flawlessly is an indication of how they will perform in the future then we are in for a real treat in years to come.
Courses make horses is fundamental to this experience. Pacific Equine Sport has not one, but two of Canada’s top ten FEI course designers in their founding partners. To top it off their company is producing jumps for sale that equal any of the best manufacturers in Europe. The gleam from the new jumps added the finishing touch to a most delightful weekend.
Finding an event like this one that delivers a champagne experience on a beer budget is the best thing that we have seen in our sport for a long while. With trends tending to exclude all but the most affluent it is encouraging that passionate horse people will have opportunity to develop themselves and their horses without compromise in an atmosphere that is most inclusive.
Congratulations to you all on getting this so right! I understand that space is limited so please count me in for January’s event and every one after that!
Lorrie Jamieson:
If you have a young one to get out for some nice miles or just need to school this show is fantastic. Great, inviting courses with gorgeous, brand new jumps and did I mention Huge rings! It’s like being back outside.....almost! Excited for this series that we can bring our young horses and novice riders up the levels affordably.
Labrie Kruger:
First indoor show, first championship and in the home town. Thanks to @pacificequinesport for putting the first of a fantastic series. Everything was awesome from the stabling to the footing. We will be back!
Ashley Bishop:
Thank-you so much for the wonderful show! It was well organized, fun and had lots of thoughtful ideas- like Ride of the Day and prizes for first place. We had a blast!
Wachter Horses:
Pacific Equine Sport hosted the inaugural Ponoka Indoor Series Horse Show at the Calnash AG Event Centre. Team Wachter made the short drive with a few Wachter horses as well as client horses to check out what the show had to offer. We were not disappointed. The show was very friendly and well organized. Our horses had great successes.
We will definitely keep our calendar open for the next dates in this fun and affordable series.
Agnes Van Den Tweel:
Wonderful show! Very welcoming to ‘newbies’ as well!
My daughter is 9 and had the time of her life!
She has thanked me over 10 times in the last 24 hours that she was able to go! And we will definitely go in January again!
Very friendly people who organize, amazing facility!
Just a amazing experience!
